Top View crash/disable after running Kangaroo Script

Hi Guys,

Working on a revised version of the K2 script @DanielPiker wrote for me back in May:

Circle tangent to two curves with fixed length goal?

@DanielPiker I’m hoping you might be able to point me the right direction here. I have a variation on the circle packing problem, where I need to place a circle that is tangent to two curves that meets a fixed length requirement between the tangent points of the curves: [Image 321] What I think I’m looking for is a Tangent goal combined with a length goal, but I’ve not found any examples. Have run into a strange issue - when the script runs it crashes or disables the top view in my Rhino:

I cannot see any objects in the top view and can’t select or add any geometry in that view. The other views work FINE.

The strangest thing is I can save and then open the file - just the 3DM and the freshly opened file also has the top view disabled.

Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Does refreshing the viewports bring it back?

Rhino 6.1 Bug with kangaroo 2 pressure: vanishing geometry in some views

The bug here is actually a display one not part of Kangaroo. Whenever a point in Grasshopper gets far enough from the origin, the preview display completely stops working until you refresh the viewports (I usually just click the 4-viewports button). With pressure, because it is proportional to area, it can cause objects to inflate indefinitely if it is strong enough to overcome the tensile resistance of the mesh. Thanks @DanielPiker - how do I actually refresh the viewports?

I think I solved the issue by using the zombie solver as I’ve not seen it happen since I swapped the bouncy solver out. (last 10 min)
