When click on the Options (Tools menu), it takes a very long time for the dialog box to appear. I have had this problem since rhino 5, but when I switch to rhino 6, the problem looks to have worsened. I think it takes more than a minute. Comments and help welcome. Thanks
Hello - is this the case more than once in a session? i.e. Is the second time you open Options as slow as the first?

Please post the results of running the system information command from Rhino’s help menu. I want to see if any plug-ins may be causing problems.

Come to think of it, it looks like it slower when the Clayoo plug-in edition mode is ON
Thanks for your response. Looking forward to hearing from you.

If you disable Clayoo in the pluginmanager and restart Rhino, does the options dialog come up much faster?
Yes the dialog is faster now, it appeared almost immediately. Launching Rhino is also faster. When launching rhino, with Clayoo enabled, you can see that the plugin loading takes a while, sometimes it can take a longer time. I am not sure if there is some kind of authentication via internet, here our connection speeds can be low at times. This is fine with me. But the tools > option running slow can be annoying. But past couple of days, it was rather OK even with the clayoo enabled but surely slower compared with it disabled. Can you guys talked it over with TDM?
Regards
Fong
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll check in with TDM and see what we can do.
Hi @fwk , which version of Clayoo do you have installed? (_ClayAbout command)
What do you mean it takes a very long time? (5 seconds/30 seconds/1 minute?)
Let’s see if we can find out what’s causing you that delay.
Regards,
Hi, I m using Clayoo version 2.6.18038.4. It takes about 10 secs to load. I checked today. When I raised this issue back then, I think it is more than that. But 10 secs should be tops and I guess that is OK. But with the Clayoo disabled, the loading is almost immediate.
Hi @fwk,
Thank you for the feedback. 10 seconds for me is too much and I think something wrong is causing the delay. Can we schedule a remote connection to investigate further about this issue?
Regards,
sure when do you want to do it
Send us an email to support@tdmsolutions.com asking to contact with Xavier Marrodan, he will take care of it.
