I noticed another issue with the MRU toolbar. I notice that the toolbar sometimes (and it seems randomly) converts the icon images to text when the beta is closed and re-opened. You can see it here:
I have not seen a single time where this doesn’t happen to at least one icon. With subsequent opening and closing of the beta the images never come back.
Are this buttons the are switching, also the buttons that you are clicking on? Or does the switch seem to be unrelated to which command you are running?
I installed the release you gave me but I still see the issue with the MRU toolbar. I ran a bunch of commands, grabbed a screenshot of the MRU toolbar, closed the beta, and re-opened it. Here is what it looked like:
The toolbar on the left is what it looked like before I closed the beta, and the toolbar on the right is how it looked when I opened the beta immediately after closing.
Last week everything seemed OK, or at least I didn’t notice this issue. However, with this week’s build (04.08), I am now seeing the “icons changing to text” issue.
In my Rhino UI, I have only one toolbar that comes from the default RUI. That is the only toolbar affected. All of my other toolbars come from my own custom RUI and are not affected.
I have also noticed what appears to be a separate issue: as far as I have tested, none of the command icons (default + custom) respond to the Shift key + RC, so it is kind of hard to edit the commands represented by the icons.
Do you mean right now you have no way to edit the toolbar buttons? I know I saw that last week, but a restart of Rhino fixed that. In your case it is stuck like that?
I installed version 9.0.26218.6303 (2026-08-06), but the issue still persists upon startup. On top of that, I’m now suddenly getting a plugin error (FlairSDKHarness.rhp) during launch, which didn’t happen before.
Fortunately, Shift + Right-click is working again so I can access the Edit menu, but importing previously saved SVGs still doesn’t apply. Also, while I happen to have saved image files for my icons, I think standard users will definitely need an Icon Restore feature.
