Tom's Question

Not sure if I understood this… from a none native speaker, stupid user as me.
With a cheep jeep the chic sheep gets a cheat sheet. ?

sorry but i did not understand the difference from the old version to the new one.
(also can not test it as i am on the forgotten mac intel)…

i think the video example is not chosen well - where a first -6 adds up with a +12 to a final distance of 18.

Can we please get an example where the relative coordinates use x for the first from, and ascending y s for the following points:

copy pause from pause r-5,0 from pause r0,2 from pause r0,4 from pause r0,6 _pause _enter

running above macro in rhino 8, mac and clicking the dots 1 2 3 4 5 i get:

in rhino 9 ?

thanks for clarification - kind regards - tom

@mary
can you please answer my post above ?

Hi @Tom_P.

The Getpoint is removed as a rather obscure “paper cut.” There are times where Rhino 8 works identically, so it is not a wip only feature.

We need a reset here.
I did not understand your question or example, and I should have replied with that.

So I broke this off into it’s own thread for better clarity.
I need to know:

  1. A description of what you want to do.
  2. What your do. (step by step).
  3. What you happens
  4. What you want to happen instead.

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier

Dear Mary
thanks for having a look.
The initial post of the other topic got 15 edits ;-(
as far as i remember you first had a video trying to explain the new functionality of “from” ?

my question was about understanding your video that is no longer there ?

did anything change with “_from” helper / command ? between V8 and V9 ?

thanks

@Tom_P
Yes- there have been a lot of changes everywhere in the WIP.
And some of the changes have been updated in the later Rhino 8 service releases.
No looking back, this is a reset.

We need you to test issue in the current WIP.
Please try and let us know if there is still an issue.
If there is, provide the following details:

  1. A description of what you want to do.
  2. What your do. (step by step).
  3. What you happens
  4. What you want to happen instead.

Thanks,
Mary Ann Fugier
