Toggle 'Enabled'?

Is there a way to have a toggle control (such as ‘Boolean Toggle’) control whether or not a component is active and calculating?

i can do this just fine via right-clicking but for sake of usability, i’d like to have a remote switch controlling this instead of navigating to the component itself to change on/off.

Nope, there are shortcut keys (provided your selection includes the components you want to modify) and the popup radial menu (don’t know if that works on mac, it’s either middle-mouse-button or space-bar while over the relevant object).
