Toggle between Smoothmode and Boxmode, an extra loop is in smooth mode. why?

Switch between smooth mode and box mode, the smooth mode shows an extra circle.
The box mode has a circle, and the smooth mode has a circle.Does anyone know why? Thank you.

Hello - it is hard to say from the view you show - my guess is there is a set of edges on the end but without the object I am just guessing.

The first picture and the second picture are the same model. When this model is switched from box mode to smooth mode, there is an extra loop on the model. The third picture and the fourth picture are the same model. When the model is switched from box mode to smooth mode, the number of loops on the model is the same. My question is when changing from box mode to smooth mode, what is the rule of automatically adding loops?

Hello - you need to zoom in pretty close in Box mode but all the lines are there.
