The Ultimate Guide for Rhino-to-AutoCAD workflow

My wish would just be that Rhino 6 could handle large dwgs fast and reading Autocad Layouts and dimensions correctly.

Most of the material you get from clients and contractors are 2d dwg plans and sometimes when I import them in Rhino I cannot even clean them up, because it slows down the software immensly.

Rhino 5, Blender (converted to dxf), handle them much, much better. I use a macbook pro 15" 2017

Hi Ells,
This makes complete sense.
I have checked and this issue has not been logged.

I added to the tracking system Open/Import DWG with Xref as a Linked Block RH-57627. As soon as I test a fix, I will let you know. Thanks again for pointing this out.

Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier.

Hi OXII,
Thank you for sending us the links to your files.
I hoping to get some information for you soon.
I will be working with this issue today.

Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier

Until annotation editing (dimensions, mtext, leaders, etc.) matches or exceeds AutoCAD I won’t be switching to Rhino for drafting.
