The box edit panel is behaving very differently from V5. When I enter a z position for multiple objects with the “Transform objects individually” box checked, Rhino 6 treats that as an incremental distance to move everything and not an absolute position. What should happen is each object moves to the entered position regardless of where it started from.
The align command does not align as expected top or bottom. Especially using perspective view. Different combinations of setting the C-plane to world or view didn’t seem to make a difference.
Are the commands broken or are there program settings that cause this?
Hello - Align is working as expected, I think - it is a 2d command - so Bottom = point with the smallest CPlane Y coordinate - does that make sense with what you’re seeing?
It doesn’t seem to work when the C-plane is set to world. I expect in that instance that everything would align to the max world z if top is selected. That’s not happening.
Hello - correct, as I say it is a 2d operation - it works in the current CPlane XY. So, perform the Align in Front or Right or set one of these CPLanes, or any vertical to the World CPlane in the Perspective view and it will then work cause the CPlane Y will be in World Z…
OK got it. Somehow I thought there was a way to align in world Z from the world top Cplane. Not finding that functionality threw me off. I understand now that align to top in the world top Cplane refers to max Y in the XY plane.
