Texture mapping subobjects

Hello, I just wanted to double check in case I missed something: Is it possible to control the texture mapping of subobjects? I have a closed polysurface with the sides having one texture and the top surface having a different texture. I noticed that the UI for texture mapping disappears when an individual surface is selected. Thanks.

Typically you would add as many mapping channels for the entire object as you want to have different materials/textures applied.

For instance for a wood block you’d typically have two mapping channels, then have subobjects assigned the materials you want using the mapping channels that correllate to the mapping you want.
