Text preview improvements

Using Text Object:

1.) The font preview is very small. I often have to flip through fonts in photoshop to preview them at a bigger scale.
2.) The ADD SPACING setting has no preview so I almost always need to place the text, delete, redo it with a slight change to settings. A lot of back and forth.

If I use Text (instead of Text Object):
3.) There’s no ADD SPACING option.

Is it not possible for Rhino to render a viewport preview while the TextObject window is open so that fonts and spacing can be seen before applying settings?

Bump

Another day working with text - in & out of that dialogue box to dial text in instead of just getting a proper preview whilst working in that dialogue box.

Bump. Doing text in Rhino involveS so much back and forth: Create the text, it doesn’t look right, delete it and go into the text editor again. It doesn’t look right…over and over.

This is silly. Please can the text preview be improved. In addition to the above suggestions, maybe also something like this so that you can actually preview the text in the viewport:

Would be good to have a reply from McNeel team on this request.
With 4K resolutions (and more) the text preview is obviusly too small.
We need a setting (could be in the advanced settings) to set the dimension in pixels in the preview window or a “scale setting” that can increase/decreas the preview based on the Text Height (so if we put a height of 10mm the preview is scale*height=pixels).

In order to have an accurate preview the text editor should be based on an actual viewport (we’re considering doing that) but for now because it’s just a platform text edit control there are limitations.

In the mean time you can at least make the text larger with the CommandPromptFontHeight advanced setting:

Strange, I know, but hopefully it helps. Of course you’ll also have a large command prompt.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Changing the prompt font height is better than nothing (if I can read the prompt I should be able to read the text preview).
Hope this command will be updated soon (or that you can put a key with font dimension only for text preview).
Cheers
