When exporting Text Objects inlcuding Text Field values (as area) the connection/ value get’s lost.
Is there a script to bake the value (converting the dynamic value into a static one) so is appears correctly in a dwg?
Thanks für your help!

Hello - this should work as you describe now, if I understand you -
https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-50286
Looks like it was fixed in January.
What version are you using? (please run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the results)’
-Pascal
Rhino 6 SR14 2019-5-7 (Rhino 6, 6.14.19127.17141
The link is not working…
Hello - sorry - that link should work now. I’d expect that to be fixed in 6.15.
-Pascal
Perfect… thanks for considering. I am looking forward to it.
The link is still not accessible…
Yes… the ‘system’ seems to think there is sinsitive info in that bug report and keeps resetting the permissions. I don’t see any…

Does not work in Rhino 6, 6.15.19164.21011!
The result in Autocad:

Hi - I see that there is something going on there and it depends on which version of Rhino that you are exporting from and importing into. Added to the list as item RH-53495.
As for AutoCAD, I have no way of testing but at least this is what I see:
Could you add which version of AutoCAD you tested against?
-wim
You can use the free DWG TrueView2019 to test DWGs!
Is there a way to bake the values before exporting?
Nothing out of the box, I’m afraid.
You could try with Grasshopper or possibly a python script…
And example of using GH with the Human
plug-in:
Bake Rhino Text field text objects.gh (7.6 KB)
