Text Bug in R7

Text saved in the DWG format is .3 lower on reopening. If saved again, it drops an additional .3 per save (upon reopening the file).

Updated to the latest version of R7 and also has this bug.

Basically,
STEP-1, Create “text” at any location, in any font. (see "Original_Location.png)
STEP-2, Save the file.
Upon being saved the Text shifts downward from its original location. (see Location_After_Saving.png)

The text locations in our DWG files are being used as placeholder locations for the software they are being imported into. It’s critical to our workflow they stay at the intended location.

Hello- that is probably related to the text base point - is your text base point in the lower left or?

-Pascal

Thank you Pascal. We use Center/Bottom. I just tried Center/Center and its still dropping. I checked my home system (different license but updated to same version) and it does not have the problem. It appears that myself and one coworker have this issue, only.

This has not been an issue until recently. Any ideas?

UPDATE: The text does not drop if saved as 3DM. Our workflow requires we save in DWG after modeling in Rhino, so that work around is not feasible for us.

Hello - I’ve been testing this and I do see the move… it seems to stay put only if the text anchor point is lower-left- I’ll see what I can find out.
@wm_c - what is the target software, is this going to Autocad, or?

Yes after Rhino it is going back into Autocad / Cap2020. Thank you Pascal!
