Testing domain for viewer api

Hi,

The pricing page for shape diver refers to 1 main domain and 1 testing domain. Does the testing domain refer to something like 127.0.0.1:8080 or can it be a real domain name that points to our staging env?

The testing domain refers to a real domain name with “fair use” (not to be used for a commercial application).

Besides this, you can add and use unlimited local domains (localhost / 127.0.0.1 or other local ports).

Great that’s what we were hoping for, we have a staging env that’s hooked up to a dummy point of sales.

How long does it take for a domain whitelist to take affect? We’ve set our domain name about 15 minutes ago but we’re still getting the error message “Please whitelist domain”.

Make sure both the domain you have whitelisted and the one you are trying to access the model have the same pattern (with or without www.).

Alternatively, it might happen that the whitelisting takes a while, in that case you can speed up the process by going to the model you are trying to embed, change a model setting in the edit page, save it and try again the embedding.

Let me know if any of those points solve your issue.

Hi Mathieu,

Thanks for the fast reply and making a small edit got the whitelist domain to work right away thanks.

We’ve got our production domain working now but it says we’re only allowed one domain in the settings, is there something I need to change to setup the staging domain? It’s not really a show stopper as we can just test in localhost but it would be a nice to have.

Regards
Barry
