Tessellated Site Model Help / Workflow

Hello, I am providing my current workflow for creating a “tessellated” site model for architectural context models, as well as the contours

However, the method I have come up is very time-consuming and incredibly inefficient.

For a little backstory, most of the contours we get are from the surveys in AutoCAD, and sketchup has a really nice “surface from contours” tool that has been helpful, but bringing skp files into rhino must not be the most efficient way to do this.

I have just been bringing in the mesh and using “reducemesh” in Rhino to get the tessellations down to a reasonable number where I can then laser cut them out and assemble them. However, this also doesn’t account for thickness of the material, and if very inefficient in doing what I want.

Is there a simpler, more efficient way to do this? Thank you.
