Template not loading (latest version of 7)

Hi there

End of last year I posted about panels not docking when I open a new file, ortho switched off, print linetype option not being saved etc, these issues remain unresolved.

Was seeing if loading a template would help. I save a template with correct UI settings, ticked the use this file when Rhino starts box and open the template. UI settings gone. After I closed Rhino and reopened the template didn’t load and the box was unchecked. The template file is there. It this something to do with Windows permissions? Its driving me crazy

Hi Steve -

There are no UI settings that are saved in 3dm files.
Only the settings that are under Document Properties are saved in documents.

Thanks for the clarification Wim. Do you know what the solution to my problem is?

Hi Steve -

There won’t be any updates to Rhino 7 and the completely rewritten UI system for Rhino 8 is hoping to be the solution to these types of problems.

I installed Rhino 8 to trial it and get this error. Any ideas?
