Tekla Item created with Grasshopper

Hello all.

I’m making my first “big” project with Tekla Live Link with grasshopper. And a ended up with a bit of an issue. That might me easy to solve, but I don’t kno how to.

Context: It’s a parametric culvert wich when I update the geometry the rebar comes whith it.

The issue comes to, when I create a Item in tekla, using concrete item component in grasshopper. It gives a rondom name to the shape generated. As the snap below. And suddenly when I copy the part to another location, It dissapears.

So is there a way to give a certain name? So it’s not generating a random shape name each time I place diferent values for the Culvert.

Hi, minutes after found this on the Grasshopper-Tekla Live Link FAQ
giving a custom name to the item as shown in this image: Script image

But now I ended up in another issue. The red middle culverts need to be a variable array, wich will have rebar on all the units. But will be diferent in every color you see.

The gap that you see is where the reamin culverts needs to be.

Grasshopper viewport:

So, I need to know how to approach to make the rebar for the red culverts to be placed in each one. Even when changing the number of middle Culverts (Red ones)

Hi Esteban,

Take a look at the “Reinforcement Demo Definition” download from the link warehouse page (Versions tab).

That contains some examples of putting similar rebar groups into a variable number of parts.

Cheers,

Thank you Sebastian, I’ll take a look on that.

It’s kinda working, but I don’t know why its not taking the correct bar assemble to correct unit.

Does this have something to do with the order of the data trees?

Okay, a simple reverse list solve the problem hehe.
