I was hoping to use the technical display mode on a large project, but it calculates so much it’s useless. And whenever something is moved it has to recalculate. So I made a simplified technical display mode to hopefully cut the “compute technical display” process, but to no avail. It takes minutes for it to prepare, and the only thing I have on is Silhouette. As far as i know that is a shader that takes no preparation (at least not when the model is exported to 3D pdf and I use a similar display mode there)
Does technical display mode calculate intersections even though it is turned off? If so please fix that, and also add it as a background process, no need to stall the user if the user want’s to continue working IMO.
