I have a client who has 10 licenses in the LAN Zoo, they would like to have a functionality similar to the Cloud Zoo where they can separate the licenses into teams, with for example 3 of the licenses being used for a certain group of 7-8 people, and the others for another group.
I don’t know if this is possible, they do not want to go to the Cloud Zoo for internal security reasons among others.
How does that work? Each team would need to be on a separate subnet or something (so that they could only see “their” Zoo), which is not really possible/practical as far as I know.
AFAIK when zoo licensing is set for client in local network, ip adress or name in domain for the license server needs to be prpovided. Each team could reference different server, even in one common local network.
Server zoo app could be installed on anything with windows OS.
So, basically have two different Zoos (I suppose they have to be on different machines) and each one has a specific name… Then on the client (Rhino) side, specify the name of the correct Zoo server to look for the license for each user?
