When there’s a subd in my model and I’m in shaded mode, a few things happen that are weird. First, if I tap TAB, the display mode switches to wireframe instead of staying shaded (but the display panel still says I’m in shaded.) The display shows (correctly) that the subd has been toggled to boxy.
If I then switch the view to a different shaded view (I have several view modes based on shaded) and tap TAB, the view shows a muddle of boxy shaded with a smooth wireframe.

On the bug report, it looks like it’s fixed as of Sept 11, but my version is Sept 8. Maybe they sent you an internal update to test? It looks like I just need to wait for the next update to fix this one.

A lot has happened since September 8th, you should update.
Weird - I thought it was checking automatically.
IIRC, the last update didn’t download automatically here either…

Apparently, this has been misbehaving on some systems. On my PC, Rhino didn’t auto-update between September 11th and September 20th but is working normally again now.
Please keep an eye on this and report back if Rhino doesn’t check automatically. We’ll continue to release at least one public Beta per week…
