Would it be possible (and make sense) to add the same symmtry options that we have in QuadRemesh to ShrinkWrap? That would making clean meshes from garbage input even easier when dealing with trashy (but symmetric) mesh models (instead of having to go through QuadRemesh with an insane amount of quads).
