Sweep issue

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue? Trying to sweep a half circle shape around this profile. Trimming the ends doesn’t work…

Post a .3dm file with the geometry.

Look carefully at the sweep surfaces. The sweep surfaces do not completely intersect at the corners. That is due to one of the sweeps being along a curved rail.

One method to resolve the problem. Pipe the curve. Then use Split with the Isocurve option to split the pipes as desired. Make sure the isocurves on the intersecting surfaces intersect. Delete the portions of the pipes you don’t want. Then trim the parts left on the interiors on the interior of the corners.

See file attached.

The pipe solution could work but I want the sweep to be on the inside of the curve. Just seems like a complicated workaround for something that should seem pretty simple?

Hi Thomas - miters in sweeps cannot work at all relaibly on non-planar corners.
There is not a complete intersection:

That is how the geometry works. Build a physical model and the same problem exists.
