Is there a reason I can’t select tangecy or curvature for the Sweep 2 options?
I’m using nurb curves for both profiles and guides.
Do I need to convert those nurbs to something else in order that those options become available?
It would help if you showed a picture of what you are trying to sweep, and against what surfaces. 
Could it be that these are reserved for surface and/or brep edges as rail curves, since their surfaces are needed to compute the tangency and curvature of the sweep surface?
Hello- if the input curves on the cross sections are rational, like arcs, then you do not get to set that option. Use the Rebuild option to 4 or 6 points to allow tangency and curvature. If the rail curves are not surface edges, you cannot have these settings at all.
