Sweep 1 won't do all closed rails and it's inconsistent

Hi,

I am trying to make sweep1 in all rails, but I am having a problem, that it won’t make all sweep and when I move the closed curve seam in Z direction it changes the rails but never sweep all rails. Anyone know what is happening?

Thanks! Sorry to ask, but how did you knew it?

I didn’t know.
Just a hunch.

It worked for that situation, but whenever I move it in the Z axis, the sweep won’t work for all heights.

I think it is the same issue as in your other topic.

Its almost the same, the other resolution worked, but this one didn’t. I don’t know what am I doing wrong. This is what is happening to me:

You’re doing this in a really complicated way.

One thing I would try is to always place the section with one corner coincident on the rail. It might help to have the section completely outside the rail.

In my screenshot the profiles are rotated differently.

The thing is that I need the section to be in the position that is in the image below. Its almost done but now the last sweep is missing.

As mentioned before, I would try to orient the profile so it is outside of the rail. I offset the rail as a proof of concept. Compared to the opposite situation the results are all closed without any deconstruction and joining.

Personally I would also orient the profile on the XY origin and then orient it from there. I would not orient it with an edge mid point but with a corner.

Sweep1 was pretty unreliable. I solved by using offset and sweep2 instead
