Surface to solid for complex geometry

Hello everyone,

I’m seeking advice on how to create a solid from this surface (see images) for 3D printing. Each triangle is an individual panel. I tried offsetting it and then creating a loft between the edges of the two surfaces, but it didn’t work due to the holes in the surfaces. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi
you should upload internalized “gh” file

If you have the Pufferfish plugin
You can use the Offset Surface command, which also outputs as a solid.

or

“you can use Extrude command in grasshopper”(easy and simple)

He @fad095760,

Thanks for answering! Is there any difference between the two solutions or do they lead to the same results?

this method “Extrude command in grasshopper”
easy , simple and faster. also lead to the same results. just you should know about “Normal Direction”

It doesn’t seem that solutions provided are ONE solid but many solids. I am not sure a printer will work well with this ? But if you are OK with this it is your problem.

But also it seems your base geometry is not very good
