Surface Morph issues upon inputting W domain

I’m trying to deform this geometry onto this shell space so the pattern is uniform without issues on the surface. I’d been previously trying to project the pattern onto the brep but the pattern always breaks down at the base. I’ve seen some videos surrounding the Surface Morph command being a better option but can’t seem to get it functioning properly.

Morphs work on Type Surface meaning … well … see attached (i.e. not 2 same dogs are the same).

Not sure I’m following, I attempted to use the stream filter and other solutions attempting to extrude but keep getting the Reference Space Volume Cannot Be Zero error. Does the surface need to be extruded? Even when I attempt to use an extruded srf the errors go away but it doesn’t project onto the srf.

Thank you for your help!

I also noticed the projection onto the srf uses the entire geometry rather than strictly the trimmed one. Would I use construct domain on the z axis to remove the geometries below the ground plane?
