Hey, I’m having a hard time figuring out how to place supports along a single element. Use my bad drawing of a free body diagram as reference. I know I can split the element into multiple elements to place supports in between them, but then the internal forces doesn’t act right. Is my vision possible to accomplish? And if so, how?
If you split a beam into multiple parts, the beam will still behave as though it is rigidly connected unless you define joints in the elements. Can you share your definition?
