Talking here about the selection box that pops up when Rhino can’t pick from multiple objects within range of the cursor when the left mouse button is clicked.
Currently it displays the object type followed by the object name if one has been assigned but otherwise nothing.
How about having it show the layer name if no object name has been assigned? Some cue would need to be established that would let the user know its a layer name, of course.
This would be a very convenient instant way to help differentiate among identical copies in the list.
