Suddenly unable to load large definitions

I’m not sure what changed, my Rhino crashed while working on a large definition and now it hangs forever to reopen the file, or earlier versions of the file, even from weeks ago. I restarted my computer of course, with no change. I also loaded the same file on a different, less hefty computer and it opens as expected.

Even with Disabled Solver, same issue. Same with opening it in Safe Mode. Just hangs and/or crashes.

My definition is ridiculously huge, 5,000+ components but it’s mostly code now, it was much larger. Wresting with that isn’t a new problem for me. Only one plugin is used and I disabled it during troubleshooting with no effect.

Any suggestions?

I reached out to the forum too soon, I went on a plugin cleaning rampage. I figured if I wasn’t using a plugin in a definition that it couldn’t affect my definition.

DefinitionLibrary was automatically updated via PackageManager today and stabbed me in the back. Not even using it.

Word to the wise, uncheck automatically update packages.
