While following this thread Tool palettes bug and after activating the option to hide the tool palettes. It appears that the SubD toggle button once pressed will not allow the tool palettes to come back on! Pressing enter/tab to repeat the toggle will flicker the tool palettes for a brief moment but pallets only reappears after a new command is called via another method [since the tool palettes are stuck in a hidden loop]
