Subd Lost Faces

When I crease these edges or place vertices on top of each other on objects that are SUBD some faces are disappearing what could be the solution to not lose those faces?

dear @serasu_abac
creases do not make a lot of sense in a planar surface…
so - what s the final shape / design you are trying to model ?

SubD s are most reliable when set up with (valid / healthy ) Quads (faces with 4 edges / vertices)
you did a setup with quads, but in box-mode you can see, that for each face one edge has length 0, or 2 vertices are coincident.

it s not very surprising, that some subd functions / features fail here.

what are you after - for sure there s a solution without coincident vertices.

cheers / kind regards - tom

Hi @serasu_abac , as Tom said putting vertices on top of each other will bring a lot of topology problems and is not enough to “dissolve” an edge.

You can use the _Stitch command for that, it will move one vertex on top of another and delete the edge between the two to keep a good topology.
