SubD for Rhino WIP?

I think those are visible only for McNeelians. If I log in to my personal google account I cannot look at the document version history:

When not logged in at all I have an even less populated menu where version history isn’t even mentioned…

The Document details... entry shows only when the document was created (2017).

…and this is how non-programmer/developer humans, and probably most of your customers see those links: https://global.discourse-cdn.com/mcneel/uploads/default/original/3X/6/4/64d09515023730d9ad667ebdaefb2e6105ef91ab.MOV

I still have a small menu on a non-mobile device, but not logged in (i.e. pretending to be a regular human being).

Looks like only people with “editing” rights can see the revision history.

I have to agree that a version date on all docs is essential.
I remember when we went through the horror of implementing ISO9001 QA here. At the time I thought it was a pain, but I’ve now come to like the fact that everything is traceable. I’m not suggesting an ISO level of doc control, but at least banging a date on things would be a good help.

New Rule: Robert McNeel & Associates must be ISO9001 AND Lean Six Sigma compliant by the end of the year.

@gustojunk. :laughing:

Hee hee. :smile:

Funny, started read a bit, then found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Management_fad where both are mentioned :°

Many of the items on their list truly are nothing more than management fads. The rest all have at least one concept that has merit. A few, like ISO certification, are disruptive enough to pry management and practices out of the state of ennui that seems to encompass too many enterprises and bring them into the world of best practices that have existed in a few companies long before the invention of the “fad”.

autodesk killed forward compatibility and will not support any future versions of rhino with tsplines. We had nothing to do with it.

Hi Nathan,

Yes many of those fads are just fads. ISO Quality Assurance is a genuine and useful tool however.

I’m thinking this should be moved to the Serengeti category and the thread title changed to say WIP instead of V6.
