SubD Edge Tag Misinterpretation

Hi All,
here is the problem on strips geo:
Simple example one face at subdivision=0
As you can see, both have same “Edge Tag”, (right with corner’s freezed)

Hi @eddi

A SubD edge can only be smooth if it is attached to exactly 2 faces. Naked boundary edges are always crease edges. The vertices connected to a crease edge must be tagged as crease, dart or corner. The vertices on the left image are crease vertices.

As you show, changing the corner tags from “crease” to “corner” will change the SubD’s shape, even as the edge tags remain “crease”. This is normal behavior.

I don’t see a way to get or set vertex tags in Grasshopper, is that what you were looking for?

In short, yes.

I was thinking of the new component.
EdgeTagKomp

About the same output, crease, naked, I was therefore a little irritated.
Thanks for clarification.
