Needed to shorten something this morning, in a loose fashion, found Stretch doesn’t have a preserve structure option. Is this possible?
For the meantime just have to do a cage edit instead

we can certainly write it up and see if the devs think it’s possible!
Just wanted to say “Thank you!” to the Rhino users and the “McNeel” team for constantly improving Rhino!
we try… we are not a public company, but try really hard to be a “for the public” company…
You are doing it great. The open and direct communication with your customers is yet another reason to love Rhino so much. Keep up the good work.
It’s great that you’re trying to help stuff get in. Using rhino now for about 8 years on and off, it’s come a long way. I never thought I’d be able to request or report stuff and actually maybe ‘have a point’ with feedback. If I ever think ‘eh, that’s a bit annoying’ more than a few times a day repetitively with a tool, then I’ll suggest an improvement.
The upgrades to 6 and 7 have been great. Although, 7 compared to 6 was the bigger and more worthwhile jump. Modelling wise, the only good thing I use every day from 6 is the match surface to curve near surface tool. We need more improvements along the lines of those tools more regularly I feel, and to somehow gain more momentum in this area (the wind in rhinos sails seems to be architecture still, understandable with that huge customer base, but this software can still get so much better for product design I hope!)
To be clear, all of us try to get stuff in every release
I have been a rhino user since 97, a consultant to McNeel since 2013 and a full time employee since last march…I’ve had a loooot of jobs, worked with countless people, companies and design teams, and I have never once seen a group so committed to working for their customers every day as the Mcneel folks are. I’m super proud to be here and work with such amazing folks and amazing users.
We do listen, and we do work really hard to make Rhino the tool that you all love to use. Please keep giving your input on how we are doing and we’ll keep working hard to try an exceed your expectations!
