Street Mark Lines To Be Recognized by Render software

Greetings,
I would be deeply thankful for a piece of advice concerning mark lines in Rhino to be recognized by a render program.

I have inserted a cad file with the content and… as a result, I have a lot of lines/polylines and some hatches (to be probably exploded).

Is the any way to create solids from lines, or it would be necessary to offset all lines and solid them?

Thank you in advance

Hi @GThib

You can use explode on your street mark lines if they are hatches, Rhino will explode them to surfaces. If they are the same z level as your street you’ll have to raise them slightly to avoid z fighting with the street surface. Or trim them out of the street surface not too easy if you have lots of them. You can extrude surf on these to get solids.

If you have curves you can use surface from edge curves or planar surf commands in the surface menu. Or use extrude solid option to get a solids.

I do thank you very much.

You can alternately use the Curves and Dimensions post effects in the Rhino Render window if that is the renderer you’re using.

Thank you. I use ether D5 Render, TM or Lumion or Vray. But it is always good to know about this utility.
