Rhino for Mac will sometimes give this error when opening.
Rhinoceros: Stream has no data
Parameter name: stream.
Cancel or retry.
If this happens to you, please try these steps to fix it.
- Open the Mac File Finder application.
- On the Menu, under Go at the top of the screen and pick Go To Folder.
You can also use the keyboard short cut: Shift + Command key + G.
- In the Go To Folder dialog, enter the following:
~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/6.0/License Manager/Licenses
or for 7
~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/7.0/License Manager/Licenses
- In the Licenses folder, highlight the license files and delete them.
- Now try to open Rhino.
With these license files missing, you will be asked to provided a license for Rhino.
When you do, these files will be recreated and Rhino should open normally.
If you continue to have this issue, please email Rhino Technical Support, firstname.lastname@example.org.
