Strange UV Behaviour with SubD

See attached Video. If I unwrap a SubD and apply a checker texture it looks deformed in some areas. As soon as I open the UV editor the deformation in the texture disappears. If I apply in the UV Editor the deformation is back.

can you send us a file and the texture you used so we can try to replicate this?

@detlef_mueller If you switch to Raytraced is the deformation gone?
