Strange artifacts shaded mode, shadows

Is this a bug, or are there settings for shadows to prevent this?

Hi @hannesgrebin
Are you either very far from W0,0,0 or is this a very small object in a very large scene? Both can result in weird shadow maps. If not, try and post the objects, so we can test if this could be a graphics card driver issue.
HTH, Jakob

@Normand putting everything to W0,0,0 helps. But what I encounter on my end, that this will happen only in shaded mode, rendered mode has no issues. There is also a weird issue that scale for curves (on my end 3) would be overridden to 1 if you zoom in on objects in these far areas. Also, only in shaded view.

Hi @hannesgrebin
Maybe @DavidEranen or one of the other OpenGL brains can shed some light on the matter? :slight_smile:

Hi Hannes -
If you provide 3dm files, we can look into the issues that you are running into.

@wim here is the file
Rhino shading issue.3dm (10.3 MB)
the scene is partially imported from a skp file.

Hi Hannes -

Thanks. That looks fine here:

Can you post your SystemInfo data?

@wim here is it
