I would like to know if I should use .step instead of .stl for more accurate details in a 3D resin printer?
If someone got the chance to use .step for the printing of small objects (mm) could you please share your experience. Ty.
The printer software will have to mesh the object internally (if it can even import .step), so IMO you’re better off with .stl, as you can see exactly what you are outputting and what the printer software will receive.
Best is to mesh the object first in Rhino with the Mesh command, check the result under FlatShade and then when satisfied with the result, export the mesh.
Ty! and for your time.
