Hello all, I’m attempting to export an urban context model i created in Rhino for 3D printing. I have a series of chunks that will be printed separately and combined with magnets later to give me a 32x32” table top type model. But as our printing beds are smaller, it needs to be subdivided. So each chunk I’ve trimmed and painstakingly turned into a closed polysurface using boolean union/etc. Once each section is ready, I scale it down in a new file (changing the file units from feet to inches and further scaling down each piece until it is at the desired print size). Then I try to run “export selected” as a .stl file. When I hit the preview button on the settings popup (see below for settings) it all looks fine, and maintains all resolution/etc. However when it exports, the result is grossly simplified version of the surface without any detail in the buildings/etc. It also shows a lot of gaps/etc. See some images below. I am not sure what is going on and have tried multiple different settings to no avail. I’m attaching the file here for any gurus who may be able to help. Thanks in advance for any insight.
