That is to draw rectangles (and more polygon etc) from a midpoint on edges etc (see description in link)
So I still hoping that its possible?!

I put it on the wish list. I’m sorry if you got the impression that it was a promise.
The more other users chime in and wish for something the more likely we are to divert development resources to it. I can’t remember another request for this feature change.
It would probably be possible through scripting and certainly through Grasshopper.
Drum up some support!
