I don’t know what I did - I have never seen this before - is this supposed to be allowed to happen?
Normally the status bar has always been at the very bottom of the Rhino window…

Does it persist after restart? I’ve not seen that before ever either.
Probably not, was just wondering if there is something I should do to preserve this state for investigation before I restart Rhino…
I hope it is a rare fluke, I don’t expect this is going to be stored in any setting.
Me too. Restart did make it go back to normal.
In the last few days while I have been making new custom toolbars and icon images, I have seen so many wonky UI things happen…
Hi Mitch -
As for this part, on macOS, the Rhino status bar traditionally has been at the top and I’ve heard that we want to make that possible again at some point…

Yes, I’m aware of that. whereas in Windows Rhino it has always been on the bottom. So are you trying to tell me that my Windows Rhino tried to become Mac Rhino - but only made it partway?
Not at all, simply answering the “is this supposed to be allowed to happen?” question.

Well, I was just kidding there - I know it is not supposed to happen.
I guess the serious question to ask then is if the status bar is in the process of becoming a mobile panel that one can place where one wants - or at least bottom/top - and some of the code is already in there and got called somehow? Or this was just some kind of display anomaly…
I don’t necessarily think those two options are mutually exclusive…
I would say, though, that it boils down to having been a fluke.
