Ssd storage or ram better for speed?

Hello

I’m buying a new 14" M2 Mac Book Pro. I have enough money to either upgrade the RAM from 16GB to 32GB or to upgrade the SSD Storage. I’m wondering which will make Rhino and Rendering run faster?

It depends on what “speed” means to you.

More system RAM will allow you to work on larger models before you run low on resouces and paging to the SSD is required.

A large enough SSD will read/write files, and load applications much faster than an HDD.

In Windows, an Nvidia graphics card with lots of VRAM and CUDA cores can be used for GPU based rendering if that is an important need.
