As title states, I cant figure out why the squid text component is creating a “None” instead of squid instructions. Worked just fine this morning - and now fails on two different computers.
Can’t share the full def, so here is a snippet: texttest.gh (5.5 KB)
I can reproduce the issue and am trying to identify the cause. The Squid components have not been modified in years so I fear this is related to a Rhino update. Could you let me know which version of Rhino you are using, and if by any chance you updated to the latest service release (13) today?
I am running 8.12.24282.7001
After further testing, I noticed that the instruction works, even if the output says “None”. This is only a display problem. This issue has likely been here for a long time and has low priority since the instructions work, see below:

Good to know, thanks! The remaining issue is that it does not provide a preview in the viewport which makes it difficult when laying out drawings on sheets.
Preview in the viewport for the text component has never been available in the Squid plugin, this is not related to the “None” issue you reported.
If you feel limited by Squid, we recommend you look at the PDF+ plugin, which is supported on ShapeDiver. It provides advanced features for creating PDFs and is compatible with our export component. We will soon create tutorials for using PDF+ with ShapeDiver.
Thanks! I will look into that.
