Splitedge resulting in one extra unwanted split

Hello I am trying to do a splitedge to in a later stage use a specific segment of the edge in a curvenetwork.
When I split the edge at two places it creates a third split. By this I can’t use the complete wanted edge in my curvenetwork. Doing it in two pieces messes with my continuity.

Am i doing something wrong? Mergeedges also doesn’t help.

Red dots is wanted edgesplit, Blue dot is extra unwanted split.

Hi Philippe - there will always be a split in the edge at the seam point of a closed (in one direction at least) surface. You can use SrfSeam to move the seam to one of the red split points and then split the edge once for the other red point.
