Split failed. Objects may not be with tolerance of one another

Hello:

I’m really new at rhino. I want to split two curves in 4 pieces (with a straight line) but each time I do it. I’m getting the same mistake “split failed objects may not be within tolerance of one another” I’m following a YouTube video and the guy can do it without any problem so I don’t understand why me not. FYI, all bets are off on a hacked Rhino. Hacked Rhino means software integrity is compromised (along with the possibility of carrying malware/backdoors).

Anyway, check your unit settings and tolerance settings. You are apparently using meters - that is going to be a huge ring.

Also, uploading your 3dm file in a reply here might even get people helping you, even if this is through pirated software.
