guides, but I didn’t like them because they disappear when I exit the command.

there have been some wishes to make them toggle, here i found the tracker for it RH-39959 and two relevant topics discussing enhancements below. @wim @pascal maybe the tracker has to be updated? it is written version 6 and future. i would also love to see a toggle, would probably start using guides then.

Guidelines

Can someone please explain the thought process behind guidelines being invisible except when you’re in a selection mode? This seems counter-intuitive to the intended use of guidelines. I want to see them so I know if a layout is going astray for example. Or, if I want to know where to pick, it would be good to have the lines visible so I can plan how to draw something when I’m not in a selection mode. Thanks, Dennis

AddGuide Visibility?

I have not been able to spend a lot of time in V6, due to a change in workflow, but I see McNeel has added a long requested feature of mine. Is there a way to make these visible when the command is not active? It would be great if guides/construction lines visibility could be toggled on and off, without invoking the AddGuide command. I don’t see any info in the help topics about how they are supposed to work. Thanks, Don
