Split a box face

Hi there I have a box that needs to have two textures split down the middle; one light and one dark. How do I go forth and do this?

You could try _ExtractSrf command and then draw a line from the mid point of both edges and then Split it?

It’s a quick way of texturing things without having to use UV mapping.


Can you use decals for this?

I wish we could texture per face without exploding solids.

You can.

In RH5 you can use the TestPerFaceMaterial command.
In RH6 you can sub-object select a face and then right-click on a material in the material panel and pick Assign to selection. (The test command is also still available in RH6).
