I’m tentatively thinking of getting a Spacemouse Enterprise in the near-to-mid future. Wondering how folks have set up their upper hot keys, so I have an idea for a starting point.

I have the Pro. I find most of the buttons aren’t that conveniently placed. I try not to have to take my hand off of my space mouse a lot. Here is the layout that I use:
this layout allows me to use the ctrl and shift key selection modifiers without letting go of the space mouse knob with my thumb and index finger. I also have the 3Dconnexion keyboard and I keep the separate number pad to the left of my spacemouse so I can use my left hand to type number entries. Sometimes I use the virtual number pad (but honestly, not very often). Also, sometimes I will type a number while I am dragging a gumball handle, so having the keypad near my left hand is convenient. The only default button that I use is the ESC key.
I have the pro and the only thing I like about it’s size is the bigger battery.
