Hi -
I see we asked you for the output from the Rhino SystemInfo command in November last year but you never replied to that. Without that information, there is nothing we can do.

After launching the Extrusion command will appear a Direction option in the command-line. Press on that and choose the direction of extrusion. maybe you should change the viewport to a different view.
