My first reason to use CyberStrak blend surf instead of Rhino’s blend surf -
Rhino creates a ‘droopy’ set of third control points which drives me crazy as I like to build further geometry from the edges or from iso curves.
CyberStrak’s blend surface is not only cleaner (creates a clean single span rather than an unnecessary multispan) but has the first three rows of control points in-line.
This could be one of my favourite things to do… using the CyberStrak’s realtime deviation display to get a blend curve really close to a surface while building a corner blend. Also using the CV Modelling command to tweak the curve along the control polygon.
You’ve spent some time getting your twisting chamfer feature just right, then the Boss changes the shape slightly…
No problems, just recycle your old surfaces to the new curves with the CS_Match/opposite side/move all command!
Having the ability to blend all the other control points while matching is brilliant. However, I consider this feature ‘unfinished’ at the moment as we really need to be able to lock the furthest two or three rows of control points. This is the only feature I miss from my ICEM Surf days..
